Printers to benefit from new Natura media

printers to benefit from natura media

In light of InkTec Europe’s recent announcement of their exclusive UK distributor partnership with Natura Media Ink, more light is being shed on what this new portfolio of substrates will potentially deliver.

Of particular interest are the Flat Dot® media which cleverly uses micro dots in the adhesive to create air channels to ensure easy application without bubbles. These white PVC films, available in either glossy or matte, have an air release mechanism within the adhesive which enables very easy positioning and re-positioning, but also just as importantly limits residue being left during removal. A similar but white polyester self-adhesive fabric product known as Easy-Tex® offers similar characteristics.  However, this is removable and repositionable within the first hour of application, with the adhesive becoming more permanent after this time. However, it too can be installed on almost any surface and will not leave any residue on removal.

The flexibility of these products also provides an opportunity for printers to encourage an element of self-installation, while also making the end-users lives easier. From a revenue generating perspective for the PSP, this in turn could encourage end-users to come up with more frequent innovative opportunities for graphics like these, particularly for wall coverings or window dressing in retail environments.  In addition, the shift of focus onto the end-user being able to install simple graphics rather than requiring the skills of a specialist installer could also free up time for the printer to focus on larger, more lucrative projects.

The full exclusive Natura range that InkTec Europe are offering also includes smooth banner roll up, optically clear and white PET films and micro-tac airfree white film. All of which have been carefully selected to complement their existing media range. Recent additions of which have included an extensive latex film portfolio, which have been extensively researched and self-developed by InkTec’s dedicated South Korean team. Specifically created for HP Latex printers and inks these media boast a diffusion coating, which produce high quality, vibrant prints. Ranging from banner, pop-up, clear and backlit these films are cost effective and perfect for indoor and outdoor displays.

Peter Davidson, Senior Business Development Manager at InkTec Europe says, “My remit since joining has been to put more of a focus on our inks and media portfolio.  This has included identifying some of the critical challenges that PSPs face on a daily basis when dealing with substrates. So, building on the extensive work that is going on in our headquarters in South Korea to develop new, premium products, this is just the start of more new products focused on creating more revenue driving opportunities for printers that will be coming from InkTec Europe over the next year.”
