PG Branding, a Harrogate-based specialist in branded merchandise, clothing and PPE, has become the proud winner of InkTec Europe’s DTF-A30 30cm Direct-to-Film printer following a giveaway held at The Print Show 2025 and online.
Director Darren Atkinson entered the competition in-person at the NEC and was selected as the final winner of the compact DTF system – giving PG Branding a powerful new way to create full-colour transfers in-house for its extensive promotional product and apparel range.
“When I got the call to say we’d actually won the DTF-A30, I was genuinely shocked,” said Darren Atkinson, Director of PG Branding. “Finding out we’d won was a brilliant surprise – it felt like exactly the right piece of equipment at exactly the right time for the business.”
A Natural Fit for a Brand-Led Merchandise Specialist
PG Branding has built its reputation as a one-stop partner for branded merchandise, corporate gifts and clothing, working with organisations across the UK on everything from event giveaways and retail ranges to long-term branded programmes. The team operates under a Consult | Create | Complete philosophy: taking time to understand each client’s objectives, developing creative concepts and then managing production and fulfilment end-to-end.
In-house capabilities already include advanced wide-format and UV printing, multi-head embroidery and a broad catalogue of promotional items and garments. Adding DTF to this mix gives PG Branding even more flexibility when it comes to decorating textiles, bags, headwear and workwear with complex, full-colour artwork.
“PG Branding is all about making it easy for our clients to put their brand in people’s hands – whether it’s through clothing, PPE or promotional merchandise” said Darren. ”We don’t just print a logo and send it out; we work with customers to understand where and how the items will be used, then make sure the quality, finish and branding are spot-on every time.”
Bringing DTF In-House for Faster, More Flexible Branding
With the DTF-A30 installed, PG Branding can now:
- Produce short-run and personalised DTF transfers on demand, ideal for trials, limited ranges, and small campaigns.
- Support quicker turnarounds on urgent orders by reducing reliance on external transfer suppliers.
- Offer greater consistency and repeatability on re-orders, thanks to standardised DTF workflows and InkTec’s matched inks and media.
Looking Ahead: Growing with InkTec Technology
The DTF-A30 giveaway is part of InkTec Europe’s wider mission to support startups and growing businesses in the UK custom print sector by making advanced technology more accessible. For PG Branding, winning the DTF-A30 marks the start of a new growth phase in on-garment and textile decoration, complementing their existing promotional product offering and longstanding client relationships.
As demand for colourful, durable, and sustainable branded merchandise continues to grow into 2026, PG Branding is now even better equipped to help brands stand out – with InkTec’s DTF technology at the heart of its next chapter.
“Looking ahead, we see DTF becoming a core part of how we deliver branded clothing and merchandise,” said Darren. “The DTF-A30 gives us a solid platform to build on – we can support existing clients better, explore new sectors and keep evolving our service without having to worry about whether our print capability can keep up.”
