As manufacturers of JETRIX wide format printers, inks and media; InkTec have over 30 years’ experience in the printing sector and are delighted to now be working with The Printing Charity. Operating nationally, the charity provides practical, emotional and financial support for people in crisis through a free employee helpline, as well as championing young talent across the industry in the Rising Star Awards.

The Printing Charity’s range of support extends across helping with emergencies, changes in circumstances and any challenges that life potentially throws at you. This is alongside a free employee helpline available to businesses across the printing industry which provides emotional and practical support, including counselling, legal advice, bereavement support, help with alcohol and drug issues, housing stress and anxiety.

Joey Kim, Managing Director of InkTec, explained, “With rising energy costs and concerns about the economy, it is important for people’s wellbeing and mental health that we support our employees. As a charity dedicated to the printing sector, it was an obvious connection for us to make as they really understand our business and the industry we operate within.”

The collaboration with The Printing Charity complements a number of initiatives that InkTec have been instigating internally over the last few years for their employees. Including an in-house honesty larder, with a range of lunch food options and treats where the team can help themselves in return for making a monetary donation depending on what they can afford. Any surplus funds at the end of each year is then donated to their local food bank. Last year resulted in a donation of £500 to the Witney Food Bank. In addition, there are monthly mental and health wellbeing communications shared with the whole team. These are designed to encourage them to regularly reach out to each other, share thoughts and challenge themselves to try new things.

Neil Lovell, CEO at The Printing Charity added, “We’re delighted to be working with InkTec to complement their existing employee welfare and wellbeing activities through our 24/7/365 helpline, and to have their support for the other initiatives we run for people working in print, such as our Rising Star Awards for young people. We’re here for people working in print, paper, packaging and graphics throughout their careers and into retirement, and with the support of organisations such as InkTec we have the opportunity to extend the support we can provide even more widely across the industry, helping us to be there for anyone who needs us.”
